Job description

We have a wonderful job opportunity available for a full-time private Companion/Carer in Regents Park, London, UK. Our client is a kind and mild-mannered individual seeking a trustworthy carer who can provide companionship and support with daily activities, as well as navigate sudden challenges and changes that may sometimes cause confusion or agitation. We are looking for a compassionate individual who can truly empathize with the situation. The ideal candidate will be willing to assist with personal care and help maintain the tidiness of the house alongside the cleaner. The role requires a dynamic and driven carer with excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of the client. It is crucial that the candidate is genuinely passionate about their work, demonstrating both compassion and competence. Previous experience as a private carer is necessary, and it would be advantageous for the candidate to have relevant training in caring for individuals with early onset dementia.

Responsibilities

Provide support with basic personal care while prioritizing dignity in care Foster companionship and engage in daily interactions with the client Willingness to be hands-on and assist in various areas as needed Accompany the client to his office, to appointments and visits to the park Collaborate with a team of individuals supporting the principal Develop and maintain care plans and records, including medication management

Requirements

Current DBS check Previous checkable references Based in London (accommodation is NOT provided) Non-smoker Qualification in care is necessary Creativity and interest in art would be an advantage Bubbly, fun, and easy-going personality Good listening skills Emotional intelligence

Work conditions

Full-Time position (Monday to Friday, 9:30 to 17:30) Temp to Perm basis Live-out position (accommodation is not provided)
