Our recruitment methodology for families
Homecare recruitment requires rigor and methodology in the selection of candidates (homecare workers, nurses, care assistants, companions and other profiles).
To achieve this, recruitment is carried out in several stages. First, by telephone or during a meeting in one of our branches.
This first interview gives the family the opportunity to talk to the consultant, to get to know the person to whom they will be entrusting their recruitment, and to explain their loved one’s situation or their own.
The consultant listens attentively and acts as an advisor, understanding the family’s needs and providing them with the best possible information.
It is essential for the consultant to know the living conditions of the person concerned, to be able to analyse the situation and propose the most appropriate solution. Knowing the client’s personality is also an essential part of the recruitment process, enabling us to present candidates who are perfectly suited to their temperament.
In drawing up the job description, the consultant also defines the candidate’s profile (home care assistant, nurse, care assistant, cleaning lady, etc.), the responsibilities to be entrusted to him/her and the conditions of the position (full-time, part-time or part-time; housed or unhoused position; fixed-term or open-ended contract; etc.).
Depending on the pathologies and life constraints of the person concerned, the family or individual may also decide to employ several people to ensure a continuous presence. This will depend on the needs of the dependent person, as will the number of people to be employed.
Similarly, the most important aspect of recruitment is to select staff who understand the confidentiality and discretion required to work with families.
A dependent person employing staff in his or her own home will want to retain privacy and time for him or herself. It is therefore essential that the employee shows restraint and withdraws to allow the privacy the employer is looking for.
